The Dermaclay story starts in 1977 in Hyeres, in the Var region of southern France, where Patrick Dubois discovered the many properties of different clays at a local clay company. Later joined by Corinne Lauret, he founded the company Eumadis in 1995. Drawing on what they knew about clays, whose properties vary with their origin and color, they first launched the Capilargil hair care brand. Noticing that only green clay was used in hair care, they created shampoos with clays of different colors. The move to face care came in 2001 with the creation of the Dermaclay brand. In 2002, the company was among the pioneers that took part in the start of the Cosmebio association, and in 2004 the Dermaclay range moved to airless bottles. Today the brand describes itself as a family company that has proven the results of its products for nearly 30 years.
